Dimensions and maximum loads
The specified moments and forces are static values, apply per base jaw, and may occur simultaneously. These loads may occur in addition to the moment generated by the gripping force.

General information about the model series

Gripping force
is the arithmetic sum of the individual forces acting on each jaw, at a distance P (see drawing)

finger length
The distance P is measured from the same reference surface in the direction of the main axis. The maximum permissible finger length applies up to the nominal operating pressure. At higher pressures, the finger length must be reduced proportionally to the nominal operating pressure.

Repeatability
is defined as the dispersion of the final position over 100 consecutive strokes.

workpiece weight
This is calculated for frictional engagement with a coefficient of static friction of 0.1 and a safety factor of 2 against slippage of the workpiece under gravitational acceleration g. Significantly higher permissible workpiece weights result from positive engagement.

Closing and opening times
These are pure movement times of the basic jaws without application-specific gripper fingers. Valve switching times, hose filling times, or PLC response times are not included and must be taken into account when determining cycle times.
